What's ahead for DOS
If you’ve been dreaming of a super-smart personal assistant inside DOS that will correct common errors, dream on—because it won’t happen in the next 5 years. According to Gates, artificial intelligence (AI) techniques won’t be incorporated into the operating system until applications software using AI proves its value. A consensus must first develop on how AI should be used in the operating system and on which AI methods are most effective.
